This Template Will Get You 80% of the Way Towards A Winning Ad Creative

The creative you put into market is really only as good as the script or concept you use when creating the content.

I’m moving New Edition’s scopes more upstream in 2026.

If New Edition is working with your brand, I want to own as much of the creative process as possible. Not just video editing, for example.

It leads to better work and happier clients. Which is what it’s all about, right?

ONCE YOU HAVE THE SCRIPT READY

There’s two ways to create the content:

  1. If you have time and resources, tap a UGC creator to film and record the content. Best case scenario, you have someone in-house who can quickly record and edit the content for you. Another sustainable option is leveraging a a self-service platform like From The Lobby (respond to this email if you want an intro)

  2. If you want to get something in the market quickly, leverage generative AI tools like Nano Banana for images and Kling 2.1 Master for video. Play around with these tools, and you’ll start to get better at prompting them.

IN SUMMARY

With the emergence of generative AI tools, creative can get into the market faster than ever.

I’m partially excited about genAI, but partially unsettled, too

Where will all of this be in a year’s time?

If brands are optimizing for creative velocity/output - and almost all brands we work with are - I worry most ads we see on TikTok and meta a year from now will be created exclusively via generative AI tools.

Sure you can create a great piece of content with a great UGC creator. But once that ad fatigues, you need to go back to the well and make something else.

That time-delayed process feels more antiquated with each passing month.
